There is no doubt that childhood is one of the most important stages of human life, and learning at this age is easy and well established. But what I want to address is the childhood in the Middle East. Many children in their families suffer from the need for love. Most parents are psychologically unhealthy, and therefore they are very affected, because they don’t know how to contain them. Also, many parents don’t listen to their children, and they don’t listen to their problems.

And amid all the pressure the kids are going through, thank God, let me be someone to give them love.

My name is Marinka, and I’m one of the Egyptian team members with IM. I work with children in several places. I am the leader in charge of Sunday schools in my local church and I have a team of 14 school teachers. I try hard to help them with all my energy. I also serve among children in remote and needy places. I like to use all my energies and talents to help the children. I also have some children who I teach music to, as I studied music in college. God encourages me when I see the children love me and take care of me. Several weeks ago, a little girl brought me a gift to say I love you and that was very encouraging for me.

Besides my service with children, there is an important part of my service in the media team, as the service through social media has become very useful in this era.

We have many followers on our Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp account’s. We have some who we are keen to encourage to take real steps towards Jesus through publications and shooting short videos on topics of interest to them. I also dream that there will be a part of our service on social media dedicated to children.
